Introduction:
Computer Network Security has been of importance to organizations all along.
It is becoming even more critical with the accelerated virus and worm attacks.
A well attended Network Security session held at ZABIST covered symmetric and
asymmetric key cryptography, the concept of a key, hashing algorithms, keyed
hash functions, digital signatures and digital certificates.

Presenter:
Muhammad Saqib Ilyas holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Systems Engineering from
NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, and a Masters degree in
Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, USA with
majors in Computer Networks. He has served Department of Computer and Information
Systems Engineering at NED University of Engineering and Technology since his
graduation.
