Introduction:
Mobile IP is the mobility extension to IP v4. It allows computers
and devices connected to a TCP/IP network to seamlessly roam from
one location to another without losing connectivity. It is one of
several mobility solutions for TCP/IP. In this seminar, we will
learn about the techniques and terms underlying Mobil IP.
If technology permits, we will also have a small demo.
Presenter:
Muhammad Saqib Ilyas holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Systems Engineering from
NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, and a Masters degree in
Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, USA with
majors in Computer Networks. He has served Department of Computer and Information
Systems Engineering at NED University of Engineering and Technology since his
graduation.
He has worked with wired as well-as wireless networks and Voice over IP technology.
Cisco’s Aironet line of wireless products and 3600 series multi-service platforms
have been his main playing ground. He has worked on various projects to solve the
industry’s computational problems and is presently supervising an automation project
for loom performance monitoring for a textile mill in Karachi. He also has a couple
of conference publications under his belt.
He is the IEEE Student Branch Counselor at NED University, Secretary/ Treasurer of
IEEE Communications Society Karachi Chapter, Member of IEEE Karachi Section
Executive Committee, Country Leader of INETA Pakistan and has been a member of several conference organizing and advisory committees.
