NED Robot Team Sponsored
Jan 28th, 2012 by Administrator

A team of NED University students decide to build a “Two Wheel Self Balancing & Multitasking Robot”. They pooled PRS 12,000 (Twelve Thousand) and bought components needed for their project. They ran into a financial crunch as a critical component (a Panda Board) they needed had a price tag of PRS 20,000. The team turned to Koshish Foundation for assistance. On a strong recommendation of Professor Shoaib Zaidi (Chairman, Department of Electronics Engineering), Awais Nemat (a Koshish member and successful serial entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley, California) agreed to sponsor the project.

On Saturday, Jan/28/2012 a check for PRS 20,000 (Twenty Thousand) was handed over to the jubilant team members. Jamal Rajput, Faysal Lakhani (Koshish Foundation) and Professor Shoaib Zaidi (NED University) were also present at this occasion.

Pirzada Family Scholarships
Dec 22nd, 2011 by Administrator

Nov/19/2011
Because of a generous donation from Rafat Pirzada, a successful entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley, Koshish Foundation was able to extend its scholarship program to S.M. Law College, Karachi, Pakistan. On Nov/19/2011 Koshish Foundation volunteers met Principal of the college and handed over a check for PRS 229,000 (PRS Two Hundred Twenty Nine Thousand) to pay for the tuition, enrollment, and examination fee for 6 deserving students. Ms. Neelofur Master, Acting Dean, Bio-Medical Engineering Department, NED University of Engineering and Technology, was the guest of honor. She spent some time with Koshish volunteers and encouraged them to continue their efforts.

Faysal Lakhani of Koshish Foundation worked hard to make all this happen. He has been working diligently under the guidance of Mr. Sharifuddin Pirzada to make sure these scholarships go to the most deserving. Through written notices and class room announcements, Faysal made sure that the college students are well aware of this opportunity.
