Earthquake Relief Efforts

In Chitta Batta (District Mansehra), a tent village is being run by United Pakistan
(a non-profit organization). The tent village has around 170 families comprising of
1200 people, half of whom are children and teenagers. The tent village comprises of a
hospital and a school. In the tent village volunteers from UK, Australia, New Zealand,
India and Saudi Arabia are working hard to make things easy for the families.
Koshish members visited, stayed at the tent village and contributed ration worth
PRS 458,000.

Mr. Saqib Hafiz and his friends donated PRS 435,000 to Koshish Foundation.
The donation is primarily aimed at providing ration to the deserving families.
Koshish Foundation is working with UnitedPakistan (www.unitedpakistan.org) to
make sure the funds bring some relief to a few deserving families.

Feeling sense of urgency around helping those in need,
and thru the efforts of Koshish members at Boeing,
the Boeing Company has announced a $1 million commitment for
disaster relief as a result of the earthquake in South Asia.
They have yet to determine the appropriate relief agency to
receive these funds, but are doing the research now to ensure that
money will go where needed the most.

On Saturday, October 8th, Pakistan suffered the worst national disaster
of its history.
Relief efforts are underway for victims in desperate need.

operation.
